‘You loser!’: Sun Yang lashes out at British swimmer after another podium protest
The team behind the British swimmer who staged a Mack Horton-style podium protest against Sun Yang say they’re proud of their charge in the wake of a fiery exchange.
Duncan Scott, who won bronze in the 200m freestyle, refused to take the podium while Yang received his gold.
The Chinese swimmer wasn’t happy with the protest, confronting Scott after the victory ceremony.
He appeared to shout “you loser, I’m winning!” in the direction of Scott in the fiery aftermath of the medal presentation.

It comes after Melbourne-born Horton’s refusal to share the podium with Yang on Sunday night following the 400m freestyle final.
Sun, banned for doping in 2014, will later this year face an anti-doping hearing over allegations he smashed a blood vial during a drug test.
Scott’s manager Rob Woodhouse told 3AW Breakfast that Yang’s outburst didn’t come as a surprise.
“Obviously Sun Yang was angry about Duncan’s stance but Duncan was very dignified in his process and how he went about it and just ignored Sun Yang’s antics,” he told Ross and John.
“I am proud of him, and I believe most Britons are.”
