‘You just can’t bump anymore’: David Schwarz believes the bump is dead in the AFL

Former Melbourne player David “The Ox” Schwarz believes the bump will no longer be in the AFL following a series of brutal hits in the first round of the AFL season.

The Ox and Tom Elliott narrowed their focus into Melbourne Demons player Kysaiah Pickett’s bump on Western Bulldog Bailey Smith, which saw Pickett suspended for two weeks.

“Any player coming front on, you just can’t bump anymore, it’s done,” Schwarz told Tom Elliott.
