Yarra Valley resident tells Tom Elliott he’s concerned about a fire risk

Yarra Valley residents have expressed anger and concern over plans to plant a new forest along a 10-kilometre stretch of the Yarra River.

Geoff Cochrane told Tom Elliott the plan was to plant native vegetation along the river.

‘We all know that’s very fire prone,’ he said on 3AW Drive.

‘We weren’t notified.

‘We weren’t consulted as occupiers of the crown reserves.’
