‘Wrong’: Tom Elliott questions new Australian Open initiative

Tom Elliott says offering Indigenous people cheaper tickets to the Australian Open on Wednesday is “wrong” and questioned what it will achieve.
The inaugural First Nations Day at the Australian Open will be held this week, with discounted tickets for Indigenous Australians part of the initiative.
“We will never cure racial discrimination, or Indigenous disadvantage in this country, by treating Indigenous people as different,” the 3AW Drive host said on Monday.

“By all means, have cheaper tickets for people on low incomes, but don’t discriminate people based on the colour of their skin.”
