‘Writing is on the wall’: Georgie Purcell on the cancellation of the Melbourne Cup parade

There’s major changes coming to the Melbourne Cup carnival this year, with the Melbourne Cup parade through the city scrapped.

The Victoria Racing Club is yet to reveal what will take place this year on the Monday before the Cup.

With the Fashions on the Field without a major sponsor, and the parade scrapped, Animal Justice MP Georgie Purcell told Neil Mitchell “the writing is on the wall”.
