‘Worst thing you’ve ever seen’: Australian journalist’s harrowing account of scenes in Israel

An Australian journalist has described the horrific scenes he’s seen in Israel as “the worst thing you’ve ever seen”.

Nine News correspondent Edward Godfrey visited Kfar Aza — the grim scene of a brutal massacre — and told Neil Mitchell “there are bodies everywhere”.

He was also inside Ashkelon Hospital interviewing victims when it was targeted by Hamas rockets.

One hit the children’s centre, but thankfully no children were injured.

“There’s no doubt that was the specific target — all of the rockets were coming straight at it,” he said.
