‘Worrying’: Woolworths worker strike starts impacting stores

3AW Drive has been sent several photos showing how the indefinite Woolworths worker strike is impacting stores.

Around 1,500 workers at several Woolworths distribution centres have walked off the job, demanding better pay and conditions.

As a result, custmers are reporting low stock at several supermarkets, including one at Yarra Junction.

“We’ve been sent some worrying pictures of supermarkets that are supplied by the Victorian warehouses,” she said on 3AW Drive.

“The shelves are so bare it actually gives you a bit of trauma thinking back to COVID when the shelves are bare.”
