World Cup: Socceroos through to knockout stages after epic upset

The Socceroos have defied the odds, advancing to the last 16 at the FIFA World Cup with an upset win over Denmark (1-0) in their final group stage match.

Veteran winger Matthew Leckie scored the winner in the 60th minute to ensure Australia progressed to the knockout stage.

The Socceroos now have a date with powerhouse Argentina at 6am on Sunday (Melbourne time).
