WORD ON THE STREET: Teens arrested following Tarneit carjacking
Two teens arrested after a driving instructor was allegedly rammed, bashed and carjacked at Tarneit.
3AW listener Caitlyn told Tom Elliott her boyfriend’s father was driving through the suburb when he was rammed from behind.
‘The people started to punch him in the face and left him on the ground, and they have taken the car.’ she told Tom Elliott.
Caitlyn said he required medical attention and received 12 stitches across his eye-brow.
Police have since charged two teenagers in relation to the carjacking.
A 17-year old Sunbury boy has been remanded in custody to face a children’s court at a later date while a 19-year-old Werribee man is due to face the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court for a remand hearing.
