Wombats now protected from hunters as legal ‘loophole’ is closed

A legal loophole that saw wombats classified as vermin has been shut by the government, meaning it’s now illegal to kill them without a permit.

Ross and John were shocked that wasn’t the case already.

They spoke with Dr Megan Davidson, CEO of Wildlife Victoria, about the news on Friday.

She welcomed the change.
