Woman undergone surgery following hit-run incident at Greensborough
A 27-year-old woman has undergone surgery after suffering serious injuries in a suspected hit-run in Greensborough.
Police say the woman was struck by a vehicle on Greensborough Highway around 4.30pm on Sunday morning.
The driver did not stop.
While lying injured on the road the victim was nearly struck by a second vehicle whose occupants stopped and called for help.
Senior Constable John Phillips says the driver’s side mirror from the offending vehicle was found at the scene and he’s calling for that driver to come forward.
‘They would have known they hit something, whether or not they had known it was a human being or a kangaroo, they definitely would have known they hit something’.
