Woman orders pizza for busload of kids stuck in traffic on the Princes Freeway
Thursday’s horrific smash that tragically claimed the life of 28-year-old man sparked traffic gridlock across Melbourne, leaving many motorists stuck for several hours.
But a heart-warming story of community spirit has since emerged.
Sharon Caruk-Niousios heard there was a bus full of children stuck in the traffic near her home in Melbourne’s west.
‘I had a look out my front door and it was gridlock,’ she explained on 3AW.
‘I thought, those kids are going to be starving.’
So she organised pizzas and water to be delivered.
The kids did not get home until almost midnight as crews worked to clear the wreckage.
