Two women arrested over death of man in Abbotsford overnight

Homicide Squad detectives have arrested two women following the death of a man in Abbotsford overnight.

The women, aged 30 and 29, from Collingwood.

Police and paramedics arrived shortly before 9.30pm to find a man with life-threatening injuries.

He was taken to hospital but later died.

Victoria Street was closed between Hoddle and Church Streets for several hours but reopened shortly after 7.30am on Tuesday.
