WORD ON THE STREET

A moviegoer who was in a cinema which was attacked by teenage hoons on Tuesday night has spoken out about the “pretty horrible” experience.

A screening of Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy was stopped at Southland after six youths entered the cinema, yelling and allegedly threatening those watching the film.

Annie, who was in the cinema at the time, said it was a “pretty mad” experience for everyone.
