Woman hospitalised after stabbing at Doveton home

A woman aged in her 50s has been hospitalised after a stabbing at a home in Melbourne’s south-east.

The Sex Crimes Squad is assisting in the investigation due to the nature of some of her injuries.

Police and paramedics were called to a Doveton home around 12pm to find the woman with non-life threatening wounds.

Neighbours reported hearing screams.

She was taken to The Alfred hospital and is in a stable condition.

Detectives remain at the Rowan Drive property.

No arrests have been made.
