Woman fighting for life in hospital after being hit by truck on the Princes Freeway

A woman is in hospital in a critical condition with severe leg injuries after she was struck by a b-double truck in Werribee overnight.

At around 1am this morning, the woman pulled her car into an emergency stopping zone on the Princes Freeway and stepped onto the road when she was hit.

The male truck driver was uninjured and stopped at the scene.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any dashcam footage is being urged by police to come forward.
