Woman charged after death of four women in Navarre crash
The woman who allegedly ran a stop sign in the state’s west, colliding with a car carrying four women who all died in the crash, has been charged.
The quadruple fatal collision happened at Bains Road, Navarre on Saturday May 5.
The four friends, aged between 64 and 75, Dianne Barr, Claudia Jackson, Tess Ely and Elaine Middleton, were returning from a line dancing event in St Arnaud to their homes in Heywood, Portland and Hamilton.
The 64-year-old Stawell woman driving the other car has been charged with four counts of culpable driving causing death.
She has been bailed to appear in Ballarat Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
