Woman caught allegedly stealing Christmas decorations from a Taylors Hill home
The hunt is on for a thief who allegedly stole Christmas decorations from the frontyard of a Taylors Hill home.
The theft happened just before 10am on Tuesday, a woman can be seen filling a garbage bag full of signs and lights.
Nuria Celentano tells Tony Jones her son was the first to notice the his ‘santa sign’ was gone.
‘We didn’t expect to see what we saw.’
She tells Tony, ‘That’s what really made me angry, how could you do this? Wipe the smile off my children’s faces and make them cry?’
‘I can’t take that feeling away from them.’
Nuria had to convince her four-year-old son that santa is still going to come, despite the ‘Santa Stop Here’ sign not being there.
‘The signs are only $2, but it is the effort and the love that goes into it,’ she tells 3AW Mornings.
Nuria says she doesn’t recognise the woman in the CCTV but will be reporting it to the police.
