A 52-year-old woman has been arrested after allegedly dog-baiting in Melbourne’s south-east.

Police found 19 dog baits on High street Armadale, between Glenferrie Road and Orrong Road on Tuesday night.

The baits are being examined to determine exactly what’s in them.

The woman has been released and is expected to be charged on summons.

Nine News reporter Stephanie Anderson told Tony Jones dog owners have been posting images of the baits to social media.

“Some look quite meaty, others look like … crunchy peanut better,” she said on 3AW Drive.

“So it’ll be interesting … once we can hear some detail about what is actually being used her as well.”
