Witness describes ‘unbelievable’ scenes as crockery flies from CBD apartment, hitting cars below

At least a dozen plates have been thrown from a high-rise apartment block in Southbank hitting cars below on Kings Way early on Saturday morning.

Witness Andy, who was staying in the same apartment block with his wife, told Neil Mitchell it was an unbelievable sight.

“Next minute, we just hear crash, crash, crash!”

“Plates flying off onto Kings Way, we couldn’t believe what we saw.”

Police say one car was left with a smashed windscreen, smashed headlight, and dents to the bonnet.

Witnesses and anyone with dash cam footage are urged to come forward.
