Wild weather smashes Melbourne, sparks flash flooding

Melbourne and other parts of Victoria have again been lashed by wild weather.

The storms and subsequent downpour sparked flash flooding, with many roads left unusable.

The south-eastern suburbs appear to have copped the brunt of it in Melbourne, with reports Chadstone Shopping Centre was flooded.

 

Tom Elliott got the latest from the SES on Friday afternoon.

They’ve been hammered with calls for help.

“We are seeing a number of vehicles driving into floodwater,” Aaron White, state duty officer, told 3AW.
