Linda and Leslie called in to tell Tom Elliott the Western Freeway was partly flooded between Bacchus Marsh and Ballarat.

It’s also believed a local dam has overflowed.

Andrew Crook from the Department of Transport said the area had received 40 millimetres of rain in one hour.

“That’s resulted in a small landslip on the Western Freeway near Pentland Hills Road,” he said on 3AW Drive.

“That’s resulted in a lot of mud across the road, we’ve got SES, police on site there.

“We believe there may have also been a collision along that same stretch, but emergency services have now closed the freeway – and this is for traffic heading towards Ballarat from Melbourne.”

Meanwhile, Jason called in to tell Tom Elliott his property in Belgrave has been partly flooded, as well as the road connected to his house.
