Wild scenes in Melbourne’s inner-north with offender fleeing fiery ram raid with arm on fire

An offender has been seen running from a fiery ram raid in Brunswick East with their arm on fire this morning.

Today Show reporter Christine Ahern is on the scene, and joined 3AW Breakfast to shed light on the wild story.

It’s believed a number of offenders were in a stolen BMW X-5 that plunged into a bike shop on Lygon Street at around 3am this morning.

They rammed the door a number of times, causing a fire inside, with one of them spotted fleeing with one of their arms on fire.

The BMW was left at the scene.

Glenlyon Road is closed at the corner of Lygon Street, drivers have been told to avoid the area.
