Tom Elliott has explained why he thinks tax-deductible gym memberships are a “really good idea”.

It comes as Australia’s peak body for exercise and active health, AUSactive, is lobbying the federal government to let workers claim gym memberships on tax.

“I hope the federal government is listening,” the 3AW Mornings host said.

AUSActive CEO Barrie Elvish then joined Tom Elliott and explained how a tax-deductible gym membership would work.
