Why Tom Elliott thinks moving the NRL Grand Final to the MCG next year is a ‘good idea’
A plan has been hatched by Melbourne Storm chairman Matt Tripp to try and lure the NRL Grand Final to Melbourne to be played at the MCG next year.
The grand final is usually played in Sydney at Accor Stadium, but the big game is reportedly up for sale for next season.
“I think it’s a good idea,” Tom Elliott said.

Tripp joined 3AW Breakfast earlier in the morning to discussion his intentions, which he’ll focus on more after the grand final between the Storm and Penrith Panthers is over on Sunday night.
“We think we could make a pretty compelling case to bring the big game down to the MCG,” Tripp told Ross and Russel.
