The Australian Council of Trade Unions (ACTU) is pushing for companies to allow employees five weeks of annual leave.

Tom Elliott admitted most people would probably love an extra week of holidays, but highlighted the problem with the potential move.

CEO of the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Andrew McKellar, said it’s an “ambit claim” by the ACTU in their push for the extra week of annual leave.

“We don’t think this should be as standard,” Mr McKellar told Tom Elliott.
