Why Tom Elliott believes future airport rail link is a ‘dud’

Tom Elliott says there are several reasons why the much-hyped rail link to Melbourne Airport is a “dud”.

The project now has support from the airport and both levels of government, with services tipped to start by 2033.

The 3AW Mornings host said both the cost blowout and planned route for the link left a lot to be desired.

“I can guarantee beyond a shadow of a doubt that this project is a dud,” he said on 3AW.
