Why there are calls for banks to always cop the cost of scams

The Consumer Action Law Centre is calling on banks to be liable for scams and reimbursing all victims.

Senior Policy Officer Tom Abourizk told Tom Elliott scams were becoming increasingly complex and hard to detect.

“Right now, banks can do significantly more to prevent scams and it’s not happening,” he said.
