Increased screen time remains a key reason why more Victorian kids are being diagnosed with short-sightedness.

Also known as Myopia, rates of diagnosis has skyrocketed in recent years and optometrist Zeinab Fakih said the “complex” condition came about due to a large range of factors.

“Myopia is a very complex condition with many risk factors,” she told Ross and Russ on 3AW Breakfast.
