The days of sending a letter in the mail could soon be numbered, with Australia Post claiming its letter delivery service is no longer financially viable.

It’s projected by the end of the decade the average household will receive fewer than one letter per week.

“I think there still might be some (letters), and if there is, we will be doing it,” Australia Post chief Paul Graham told Neil Mitchell.
