Why Scotland is setting a ‘minimum price’ on booze
Scotland has won the right to be the first country in the world to tackle alcohol abuse by setting a minimum price on booze.
It grabbed Ross and John’s attention.
They spoke with Nick Miller, The Age’s United Kingdom correspondent, to find out more.
He explained alcohol was “incredibly” cheap in Scotland and the move would save lives.
“It’s a significant problem in Scotland, binge drinking,” he said.
