School libraries are fighting for survival.
And it’s got nothing to do with digital technology taking over.
“Schools are having to make difficult decisions about what they’re going to fund and unfortunately sometimes school libraries haven’t been the choice,” Susan La Marca, executive officer of the School Library Association of Victoria, told Ross and John.
“Many schools, particularly state schools, are short of funds and have to make hard decisions.”
