Why Putin would be signing a ‘death notice’ for Russia with nuclear escalation

Vladimir Putin would be signing a “death notice” for Russia, should he use nuclear weapons in the Ukraine war.

“It would pose as many problems for the Russians, as it would the Ukrainians,” he said.

“They’d have to pass through the debris, there’s a risk it would blow back into Russia, and so on,” Wright-Neville continued.
“And the retaliation from NATO and the west would be overwhelming.
“I doubt it would be a nuclear retaliation, but it would be an overwhelming, conventional, retaliation that would possibly eliminate Russia’s Black Sea fleet and devastate other Russian assets and make it virtually impossible for Russia to project any force outside of its own borders.”
