Why one-in-five teachers are walking away after less than five years in the job

One-in-five teachers are leaving the classroom within five years of graduating, a new study has found.

Malcolm Elliott, President of the Australian Primary Principals Association, told Neil Mitchell there were a combination of factors at play.

He said there was no doubt the job had become harder in recent years.
