Young Australians commonly blame their elders for climate change, but it’s claimed those who grew up in the 60s and 70s actually had a better relationship with the environment.

An article written by demographer Bernard Salt caught Tom Elliott’s attention at the weekend.

He made the point those who grew up in that era grew their own food, didn’t use single-use nappies and didn’t churn through electricity charging devices.

“From a sustainability point of view, he was spot on,” John Dee, founder of Do-Something, told 3AW.
