Neil Mitchell is “not convinced” the state government’s sweeping poker machine reforms are appropriate.

The 3AW Mornings host says pokies are “dreadful things” but he thinks the reform — which includes mandatory closing hours and smaller spend limits —  has “a bit of the nanny state” about it and there’s a notable difference that separates them from laws on tobacco or alcohol.
