Neil Mitchell spoke with several small business owners on Wednesday.
John’s family has been running cafes for four decades and said staffing issues were not getting any better, despite claims from politicians they would.
“Never in our 40 years have we had to take measures like we have today,” he said.
“It’s not a skills shortage, or staff shortage, it is a canyon.”
