Why Matthew Lloyd was happy to see Carlton beat Essendon

Matthew Lloyd has explained why he was happy Carlton defeated his old side Essendon in Sunday night’s blockbuster clash.

The Bombers to made to pay for their inaccurate, as the Blues made the most of their chances to rocket to second spot on the ladder.

“Some Essendon fans wouldn’t be happy with me saying this,” Lloyd told 3AW Football.
