Why Bruce McAvaney believes this could be of the best Grand Finals ever

Broadcasting legend Bruce McAvaney believes this year’s Grand Final is all set up to be one of the best ever.

Sydney and Brisbane will face off for this year’s premiership on Saturday, marking the first time two sides based outside of Victoria will meet in the biggest game of the year in 18 years.

McAvaney, who will be part of the coverage on Channel 7, said he was looking forward to seeing the vast amount of fans from both clubs converge on Melbourne for the game.

“These two teams spread their tentacles far beyond their own states,” he told Tom Elliott.

“Both these teams are pretty popular – I’m really optimistic we could have one of the really great Grand Finals.”
