Why Bruce Eva isn’t a fan of proposed new Test cricket plan

Bruce Eva isn’t a fan of a propsoed new Test cricket format which would split countries into two divisions.

If passed through, the reforms would see the big three nations – Australia, India and England – play each other in more matches from 2027.

Speaking on Wide World of Sports, the 3AW broadcaster said it was vital all Test-playing nations were supposed.

“We can’t be swayed by recency bias and ignore the wonderful contribtues the other nations have made to Test cricket,” he said.
