Why Arron Wood has decided to return to Melbourne Town Hall to run for lord mayor

Former deputy mayor of Melbourne and current lord mayoral candidate, Arron Wood, has outlined the number one reason why Melburnians should vote for him in the October election.

Wood told Jacqui Felgate on 3AW Drive he was “quite happy to stay out of politics” after leaving Town Hall four years ago, but after seeing the “spin” over the past couple of years, the “passion started to burn” to return.

“Asking residents and asking businesses what their concerns are should be what it’s all about, and I think sadly a little bit of that has been missed at Town Hall,” Mr Wood said.
