Victoria is currently in the grip of its worst measles outbreak in a decade, with 22 cases over the past four months, more than the entire number of cases detected last year.

Leading immunisation expert and pediatrician with the Royal Children’s Hospital, Professor Margie Danchin, has explained to Ross and Russel why adults are more vulnerable than children amid the outbreak.

“We haven’t seen measles for a very long time in Australia,” Professor Danchin said.
