Why a golf club in Melbourne’s south-east is frustrated with the state government

RUMOUR CONFIRMED
Mark Allen brought up a story on the Rumour File on Tuesday, relating to a golf club in the south-east growing increasingly frustrated with the state government over its plans to relocate to a new site.
The rumour was confirmed this morning relating to the Keysborough Golf Club, with general manager Darren Eckhardt telling 3AW Breakfast the plans have been in the works for 10 years now.

The plans to relocate the golf club would allow for 1,600 homes to be built on the original site, and comes amid the news the Allan government has fallen 20,000 homes short of its housing target last year.
“It’s staggering isn’t it?” Mark Allen said.
“They’ve been waiting for a long time for this to happen, a long time, it’s ridiculous.”
