‘Whole thing was a sham’: Tom Elliott weighs in on final Commonwealth Games report

A committee that investigated the government’s cancellation of the Commonwealth Games, which cost taxpayers close to $600 million, have identified major failings in how the government bid for the event.
3AW Mornings host Tom Elliott had his say on the final report, and labelled the government’s decision to hold a regional games as a “sham.”
“It was never a realistic proposal to have the regional Commonwealth Games,” Elliott said on 3AW Mornings.
