Who’s hot? Who’s not? Leigh Matthews lists his improvers and disappointments of season 2017 after six rounds

AFL legend Leigh Matthews has listed his big improvers and big sliders so far this season.

Speaking on 3AW, Matthews said two young midfielders in particular had really raised their game.

‘Clayton Oliver and Ollie Wines have really elevated themselves,’ Matthews said on Sportsday.

David Astbury, Jarman Impey, Matthew Wright and Dylan Roberton were others to get the nod of approval from arguably the game’s greatest ever player.

However, it wasn’t all positive.

Jack Viney, Kieren Jack, Nick Smith and a trio of Hawthorn stars were all told to lift their game after sluggish starts to 2017.
