Who Peter Ford thinks should get the Weekend Sunrise job after Matt Doran’s departure

Television host Matt Doran has announced he is leaving Weekend Sunrise in a tearful farewell speech on Sunday, and entertainment reporter Peter Ford thinks there’s one person who is a suitable replacement.

Doran’s last show will be on December 8, and Ford hopes Channel Seven give the job to someone who can ad-lib and think on their feet.

“It’s one of those prized gigs because it’s kind of like a golden ticket into the big time,” he told Ross and Russel on 3AW Breakfast.
