The build up to this year’s Federal election continues as Prime Minister Anthony Albanese prepares to set the date.

An election must be held either on or before May 17, but speculation continues to mount that Australians could be heading to the polls sooner than May.

Monash University political lecturer Dr. Zareh Ghazarian outlined when he believes the 2025 federal election will be held.

“There is a state election in WA in March so I don’t think we’ll (have an election then), he said on 3AW Drive.

“Much like in 2022, a government will take as much time as possible before going to the polls.”
