Wide World of Sports host Sam McClure has pinpoint the moment when Bailey Smith’s relationship with Western Bulldogs coach Luke Beveridge broke down.

Smith will play for a new club in 2025 after requesting a trade away from Whitten Oval.

“I think once he started getting played out position and he felt like it wasn’t really explained to him why…I think the relationship with the coach just soured,” he said on 3AW.

“I think it was always going to be difficult to work it out again.”
