Animal Justice Party MP and Chair of the Economy and Infrastructure Committee Georgie Purcell says there’s currently no proposal for a parliamentary inquiry to be established into the Premier’s recent four-day trip to China.

It comes as the committee’s deputy chair David Davis indicated the opposition would be pushing for an inquiry into the trip due to its lack of transparency.

However, Ms Purcell told Neil Mitchell the earliest the Committee could consider such a proposal would be at the next meeting on April 28.

“I have actually been playing phone tag with David Davis,” she said on 3AW Mornings.

“So whether or not he’s proposing to have an early meeting, I don’t know yet, and again an earlier meeting still can’t be established unless the majority of committee members vote to do so.”
