What Tom Elliott thought of Brad Battin’s cruise trip during Victoria’s crime crisis

State opposition leader Brad Battin has come under fire for going on a cruise trip during Victoria’s crime and cost-of-living crisis.
Mr Battin went up to Queensland last week to visit his parents who had been impacted by Cyclone Alfred, before going on a four day cruise trip from Brisbane to Airlie Beach and back.
“It is okay for politicians to have a short holiday,” Tom Elliott said.

“I don’t care, and I wouldn’t care if Jacinta Allan had a holiday soon, she’ll probably need one.”
Brad Battin admits he could have been more up front about his Queensland cruise.
While Victorias bail reforms were being hashed out, Mr Battin said on Saturday he had been in Brisbane visiting his parents who had been impacted by the cyclone.
But his office confirmed last night, he also spent four nights on a cruise with his wife.
